Sub-problem 2d: How Can We Improve the Level of Service at the Ramp Junction at the Northbound On-Ramp to I-87?

We will explore three possible mitigation options in this sub-problem: adding a lane to the freeway mainline; adding a lane to the ramp; and lengthening the acceleration lane. Each of these mitigations requires minor changes in the input data. If we add a lane to the freeway mainline, one parameter change is required: the number of lanes on the freeway mainline. If we add a lane to the ramp, again, one parameter change is required: the number of lanes on the ramp. Similarly, if we change the length of the acceleration lane, this parameter must be modified.
